Design Rescue: Preparing Tomorrow's Design Lifesavers

Design Rescue goes beyond traditional education, equipping the future leaders of the design world to act as the creative industry's front-line problem solvers. Created through a collaborative effort between North Orange County ROP, El Dorado High School, and the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, this program stands as a beacon of immersive, Work-Based Learning. It's not merely a curriculum; it's a call to arms, setting up students to not only excel academically but to also deliver instant, innovative solutions in the professional sphere.

Participants of this program don't just learn; they do. They dive headfirst into projects with real stakes, offering prompt, adept responses to client needs. Every task they undertake is steeped in reality, challenging them to apply their knowledge in practical, impactful ways. This direct approach guarantees that upon completion, students have not only honed their craft but also mastered the art of navigating tight timelines and intricate design challenges with confidence and inventive flair.

We treat every project with the importance and immediacy of a first responder's call to duty and we engrain a deeply professional acumen in our students. Design Rescue transcends the conventional educational model, pledging to prime students to be the first on the scene, equipped and eager to conquer the design dilemmas of the future.

Real world projects, in the classroom!

It is the goal of North Orange County ROP, EDHS and DMAA to provide a studio environment where students can have experiences that go beyond the classroom. To that end, we invite businesses and organizations small and large, for profit or not for profit, seasonal or annual, to reach out to our Design Rescue team with your design requests.
