Work Based Learning to the Extreme!North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (NOCROP) equips and empowers tomorrow’s innovative, civic-minded professionals through career technical education (CTE). NOCROP is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and educates over 16,000 students annually in our five partner school districts. NOCROP courses are UC/CSU A-G approved. These courses, taught by industry experienced and engaging instructors, enrich students’ high school experience and provide them with the career compass needed to navigate a challenging future. - For more information on NOCROP visit www.nocrop.org
The Digital Media Arts Academy at El Dorado High School offers four-year digital storytelling programs in the fields of photography, broadcast & film, and graphic design with an emphasis on college and career readiness.
Design Rescue was developed to provide Work-Based Learning through authentic, project-based assignments. NOCROP students at EDHS will learn about business etiquette by providing pro-bono design services to a wide variety of businesses in and out of our community, programs within our school district, and non-profit organizations near and far. All projects are student-led, from running the client consultation to presenting the final work. Some of our capabilities include print and web design, such as digital illustrations, logos, posters, brochures, web ads, t-shirt illustrations, and more. The “staff” at Design Rescue is comprised of EDHS students who are enrolled in NOCROP’s Advanced or Honors Graphic Design courses, part of the DMAA.. We invite businesses and organizations small and large, for profit or non-profit, seasonal or annual, to reach out to our Design Rescue team with your design requests. |
